Raising the Bar: Livan Digital Solutions Excels in Performance and SEO
At Livan Digital Solutions we build websites that are not just good-looking but technically sound. Two results make the point better than any sales pitch: an A grade for performance on GTmetrix and a 100% SEO score in Rank Math, both measured on our own site. Below are the numbers, and more usefully, exactly what we changed to get them.
Exceptional website performance with GTmetrix
GTmetrix is one of the more honest performance tools available, because it reports what a real browser experienced rather than a synthetic score in isolation. Our results:
- GTmetrix grade: A
- Performance: 96%
- Structure: 99%

What we actually changed to get an A
An A grade is not a plugin you install. It is a series of small decisions, each of which removes work the browser would otherwise have to do. These are the five that moved the needle most on our own build:
- No page builder. Elementor, Divi and WPBakery each load their own CSS and JavaScript on every page whether the page uses them or not. We build on Advanced Custom Fields instead, so a page loads the markup for the sections it actually contains and nothing else. There is more on this in why we don’t use page builders.
- Self-hosted fonts. Calling Google Fonts costs a DNS lookup, a TLS handshake and a round trip to a third-party server before a single character can be drawn. Our two families are served from our own domain as subsetted WOFF2 files totalling around 72KB, with
font-display: swapso text is readable immediately. - No jQuery. The entire front end is vanilla JavaScript. jQuery only loads on the handful of pages carrying a contact form, because the form plugin asks for it. Everywhere else it simply is not downloaded, parsed or executed.
- An image budget. Every image is WebP, sized responsively so a phone downloads a phone-sized file, and the one image that forms the largest element on screen is preloaded so the browser starts fetching it immediately rather than discovering it late.
- Full-page caching. Anonymous visitors are served a pre-built HTML file by the web server without WordPress or PHP running at all.
Achieving SEO perfection with Rank Math
Search visibility is the other half of the job, and our site scores a perfect 100% in Rank Math. That reflects a fairly unglamorous checklist:
- Titles and meta descriptions written to length for every page, not auto-generated.
- Schema markup that describes the actual business, its services and its location.
- A clean, crawlable structure with a working XML sitemap and no orphaned pages.
- Headings that form a real outline rather than being chosen for their size.

What a score does and does not tell you
Worth saying plainly: a Rank Math score of 100% means the page is technically well formed. It does not mean it ranks. Nothing measures whether your copy answers the question someone actually typed, and no tool can award marks for a page being genuinely useful. What these scores do is remove every technical excuse for not ranking, so the content is left to do its job. A fast, correctly marked-up page with weak copy still loses.
What this means for your website
Speed and technical SEO are not vanity metrics. A slow site loses visitors before it has said anything, and a site search engines cannot parse properly will not be shown. We apply the same approach to every build, not just our own.
A typical marketing site goes live 2-4 weeks after sign-off; a WooCommerce store or a build with custom functionality usually runs 6-8 weeks. You get a fixed scope and a fixed price after the initial audit, and weekly demos so you can watch it tracking. If you would rather spread the cost, the same build is available from £179 per month on our pay monthly website plans, and ongoing maintenance starts at £49 per month with Livan Care.
